Dr. Ir. Priyono

Director of Indonesian Research Institute for Biotechnology and Bioindustry (IRIBB)

Dr. Ir. Priyono is the Head of Indonesian Biotechnology Research Institute for Estate Crops and Director of Indonesian Research Institute for Biotechnology and Bioindustry (IRIBB). He began his work as a researcher at Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Institute (ICCRI) before heading the Indonesian Research Institute for Biotechnology and Bioindustry (IRIBB). Dr. Priyono is an active member of the Indonesian Agronomy Association, Indonesia Plant Breeding Science Society, Ganoderma Consortium, Association Scientifique International sur le Café, International Coffee Genome Network and Indonesian Researcher Union. As the Director of IRIBB, he actively supports the research, development and utilization of microbial technology to produce biofertilizer, bioameliorant, biodecomposer, and biopesticides. Dr. Priyono’s research has led to the wide use of plant micropropagation techniques to produce seedlings at an industrial scale, and he is the inventor of three biostimulants: Palmarin, BioVeg, and Sucrosin.
